Our Neighborhood is Back at the Park!

In January 2024, the 15th Night Youth Action Council moved their Our Neighborhood outreach program indoors to the Campus Life building in Springfield. Every Thursday evening, the YAC distributes food, shares resources, and most importantly builds relationships with youth in need of support. We are so grateful to Campus Life for letting 15th Night use their space every week   serving 366 meals during the winter months.  

With the sun coming back and warmer days ahead, we are excited to announce we have officially transitioned Our Neighborhood back outside to Willamalane Park! 

Willamalane Park has been home to Our Neighborhood for the past few years and we are happy to return back there for the summer months. With so many different activities available from playing basketball to skating at the park, Willamalane creates a unique opportunity for 15th Night staff and Youth Action Council members to build rapport with youth. Our goal is to provide a safe place for youth to hang out on Thursday evenings and have access to free food and resources.

During summer months, Our Neighborhood is also a catalyst for encouraging youth to re-engage with their education the coming school year. The 15th Night’s summer outreach culminates with our annual Back to School BBQ, held in August.
